Reflections on the COVID-19 Pandemic

6/11/2020

Hasaki Featured in UANews Article “From Social Distancing to Disinformation, COVID-19 Shows How History Repeats”

Eleni Hasaki (Associate Professor of Anthropology and Classics) is featured in a UANews piece released this past week—we like to think that it’s at least in part because of our “Reflections on the COVID-19 Pandemic Series”! You may recall that last week the segment featured an essay by one of Dr. Hasaki’s “Health and Medicine in Classical Antiquity” class students (another essay from the class appears below). In “From Social Distancing to Disinformation, COVID-19 Shows How History Repeats” by SBS’s Lori Harwood, Dr. Hasaki and two other scholars from the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences explore similarities between our current epidemic and others during ages past.
