New 'Stone Head' Statue Mysteriously Appears on Easter Island

SoA Professor Terry Hunt's research was featured in multiple news articles regarding the emergence of a previously unresearched moai statue. The statue became visible when a dried lakebed allowed researchers to examine the area. Professor Hunt told Good Morning America about the new discovery, located at the statue quarry. He and his team are optimistic that there may be additional moai still hidden within the lakebed.
