Bronitsky Speaks in Zimbabwe

Several departments at Zimbabwe’s Lupane State University, including the Department of Indigenous Languages, were awarded a Fulbright Senior Specialist grant to bring Gordon Bronitsky (Ph.D. Arizona, 1977) to the campus for three visits in 2016 and 2017. Currently in Zimbabwe on his second visit, Dr. Bronitsky gave lectures last Thursday and Friday: he presented “Promoting Indigenous Languages through Technology and Films” on October 27 and “Arts and Culture Tourism and Entrepreneurship” on October 28. Dr. Bronitsky credits his success to his time at the SoA; he says, “the education I got in anthro at the UA plays a large part in what I do and whatever success I have had.  Tell them to keep up the great work!"
