Congratulations to Katelyn Kennon, who was honored with a Pillars of Excellence Award! Katelyn, a B.S. in Anthropology major with an emphasis in Human Biology, received the prestigious Pillars of Excellence Award. This award is a collaboration with the University of Arizona President’s Office, the Honors College, and the UA Bookstores to recognize the exemplary work of Regents’ Professors, Distinguished Faculty, and top Honors students for their contributions to the University community. According to Associate Dean Karna Walter, Katelyn’s accomplishments transcend any one category of recognition but rather encompass her excellence in scholarship, her work with the Wildcat, and her role as a crisis advocate with the Southern Arizona Center Against Sexual Assault. Katelyn is also a finalist for the Fulbright Award and plans to start her Ph.D. in Social Work to continue her activism and work on violence against women. All the best wishes for your future success!
