Singer (‘06) Creates High School Anthro Course

Lauren (Bradley) Singer (B.A. 2006) teaches U.S. History and Social Studies at Casteel High School in Chandler, Arizona. After graduating from what was then the Department of Anthropology, she went on to study history and started teaching in 2017. Last year Lauren created what is possibly Arizona’s only/first secondary Anthropology class for grades 10–12. The course was approved by the school board and is set to run next school year. Lauren writes, “I created my class because I still love Anthropology, even after all these years, and I wanted to share that with my students.”  (Anthro News Digest date: 9/25/2020)
