Recent Publications: Grad Student Piece in UA Press Book; Book Release Event

Graduate student Michelle Rascon-Canales has an essay in a new book from UA Press. Her piece “‘Broken-Heartedness’ or Systematic Police Killings: Testimonios and Sequelae Deaths” is included in Roberto Rodriguez’s new book, Yolqui: A Warrior Summoned from the Spirit World. The book’s cover shows Professor Rodriguez’s (Mexican American Studies) portrait after he was beaten by police; he ultimately won his trial.

There will be a book release event at the UA Bookstore on Thursday, November 7, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. More information is available here. (Anthro News date: 10/18/2019)
