New Postdoctoral Position for Janz

Lisa Janz (Ph.D. Arizona, 2012) has accepted a two-year position as Roberta Bondar Postdoctoral Fellow in Northern and Polar Studies at Trent University, Canada. Janz will continue her research in Mongolia as well as organizing research related to the peopling of the Canadian Arctic, in particular its relationship with mid-Holocene climatic and social change in Northeast Asia. This award follows Janz’s two-year position at Trent University as a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) Postdoctoral Fellow. Her research focuses on ecological state shifts and human organizational change during the middle Holocene in arid East Asia and has been recently funded by the American Philosophical Society, the Wenner-Gren Foundation, and a multi-year SSHRC Insight Development Grant.
