Clone of Alumni Publication: New Volume from Martinez (B.A. '05)

Aja Y. Martinez (B.A. 2005), who is also a Ph.D. alum of the UArizona English Department (Rhetoric, Composition, and the Teaching of English, 2012), has just released a book titled Counterstory: The Rhetoric and Writing of Critical Race Theory (NCTE Studies of Writing and Rhetoric, 2020). The book draws upon her Tucson experiences as well as her analysis of feminist and POC writings. As an undergraduate student, Dr. Martinez worked on the Bureau of Applied Research in Anthropology’s Bahamas Biocomplexity Project with Professor Rich Stoffle. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Rhetoric and Writing, Department of English, University of North Texas, Denton, Texas. (Anthro News date: 08/28/2020)
