About Sydney Pullen
I am a PhD candidate in sociocultural anthropology, with a focus on applied anthropology. I received my BA in anthropology from the University of South Carolina in 2011 and my MA in anthropology from the University of Arizona in 2018. I am interested in the relationship among vocational education and workforce development programs, regional economic development initiatives, and the historical contours of racial capitalism in Lowcountry South Carolina (my home state).
