Alum, Current Grad Student, to Present at ASFS Conference

Amy Johnson (B.A. UArizona, 2015), who is currently a graduate student studying Gastronomy at Boston University, will be presenting in June at the Association for the Study of Food and Society (ASFS) Annual Conference, “Just Food: Because It Is Never Just Food.” The conference runs June 9 15, and Amy’s presentation is scheduled for the June 13 “Deep-Dive Workshop: Industry Inequalities and the Othering Narratives of Wine.”
In addition, current SoA grad student, Sarah Renkert, will also be presenting during the conference, during a panel on security on June 10. Sarah’s talk is titled “Food Aid and Kitchen Controversies: Cooking Together in the City of Hope.”
