The American Philosophical Society has awarded Ph.D. student Danielle R. Soza (M.A. UArizona, 2018) an exploration and field research grant from the Lewis and Clark Fund. Danielle will apply this prestigious award to her doctoral research project, titled “Order in Motion: The Ancestral Blackfoot household,” which incorporates interdisciplinary analyses to explore household and community organization and social complexity in a Late Precontact stone ring site in Montana (Advisor: Nieves Zedeño).
You may recall that just two weeks ago, we announced that doctoral student Ziya Kaya is a Lewis and Clark Field Scholar, as well. (Anthro News Digest date: 05/21/2021)
