Congratulations to Mairead Doery on receiving the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences Outstanding GTA Award for Spring 2022! This comes upon the heels of last week’s School of Anthropology Graduate Teaching Award.

The selection committee members were impressed with Mairead’s accomplishments, with one commenting, “Mairead worked hard to learn effective and engaging pedagogy with such success that she is a leader in developing teaching practices within the School of Anthropology and across the university.” Another commented on her teaching experience and noted, “Mairead…has served in leadership roles in the School of Anthropology and was at the forefront of the School of Anthropology’s efforts to revise their curriculum to address diversity, equity, and inclusion.”

This award comes with recognition at this year’s SBS Graduate Student Convocation Ceremony on Monday, May 16, in Centennial Hall and a $250 prize.
