Bronitsky Presents in Russia

Alumnus Gordon Bronitsky (Ph.D. Arizona, 1977), President of Bronitsky and Associates, recently returned from two weeks in St. Petersburg and Arkhangelsk, Russia. Dr. Bronitsky participated in the International Film Festival “Arctic Open” in Arkhangelsk, where he presented the Navajo film “Monster Slayer” and gave a talk on cultural marketing for the panel on marketing regional cinema. In St. Petersburg, he gave an evening programs showing Monster Slayer and another on American Indian approaches to saving Native languages. He also presented the 1989 film “Powwow Highway” at the official residence of the Consul General of the United States in St. Petersburg and afterward led a discussion of the film that “lasted much longer than planned, to the chagrin of the US marines who were on duty as guards,” writes Dr. Bronitsky.
