An article currently on the BBC News Magazine website includes a picture of, and brief comment by, Hortensia Caballero (Ph.D. Arizona, 2003). The piece, “Return to the Rainforest: A Son’s Search for His Amazonian Mother,” tells about the journey of David Good, son of the well-known anthropologist Kenneth Good, to be reunited with his Yanomami mother in the Venezuelan Amazon. Dr. Caballero’s dissertation work with the Yanomami was supervised by Professor Emerita Ellen Basso and Associate Professor of Anthropology Ana Alonso.
