About Daniela Martinez

Daniela Martinez Herrera is a first-year PhD student at the University of Arizona. Daniela obtained her Honors B.A. in Anthropology with a minor in Forensics from the University of Texas at Arlington and her M.A. in biological anthropology at Texas State University. At Texas State University, Daniela was a graduate research assistant for Operation Identification, where she helped facilitate the identification and repatriation of unidentified human remains found along or in close proximity to the South Texas border.

Research interests 

Forensic anthropology, Forensic Identification, Human rights, Cold Cases, Migration, Immigration, Border Studies, and Advocacy.
