Amit Hanadari-Levy

PhD Student

Amit comes from Montgomery County, MD to join LEEP under Dr. Stacey Tecot. She earned her BA in biological science from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. There, she conducted research on social stress in prairie voles at the Ophir Lab. In addition, she participated in research projects on canine scent detection at the Penn Vet Working Dog Center and environmental variation in warblers through the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. She also conducted an unofficial research project on the best ice cream in Ithaca, which she hopes to replicate in Tucson. After college, Amit spent a year researching White Faced Capuchin monkeys in Costa Rica. She is interested in the interactions between social behavior and environmental stress, particularly in non-human primates. In her spare time, Amit loves to bake, read, craft, and play with her adorable cat Taiga.
