About Luke Xin
Luke Xin (辛陆) is a Ph.D. student in Sociocultural Anthropology with a minor in Social, Cultural, and Critical Theory. He is an ethnic Mongolian, born and raised in Nei Mongol, China. His research interests include masculinity, gay men studies, and the intersections of body, health, and medicine in China. Prior to his doctoral studies, Luke obtained a master’s degree in China in Comparative Perspectives in 2018 from the London School of Economics and a master’s degree in Social Anthropology from LSE in 2016. He also holds dual bachelor’s degrees: a B.A. (Honours) in Social Anthropology from Queen's University Belfast and a B.A. in Ethnology from Minzu University of China, both completed in 2015. Luke’s experiences extend beyond academia. Before returning to his studies, he navigated the world of consulting, specializing in Human Resources, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG).
