In the Media: Gnanadesikan Speaks to Atlantic

Ph.D. candidate Gita Gnanadesikan was interviewed for an article in the Atlantic. While “Humans Can’t Quit a Basic Myth About Dog Breeds” is primarily about a recent University of Massachusetts–Amherst study on dog genomics and the role of breed in behavior, there are a couple of mentions of some of work by the Arizona Canine Cognition Center, says Gita, specifically the “Someone interested in gauging timidness, for example, can put a dog in a pen with an unfamiliar object, such as an unnervingly plush robotic cat, and watch how much it wigs” and “other, older studies, which analyzed their own data somewhat differently, have made higher estimates.”
