Reuther and Lanoe in Atlas Obscura Article

Two SoA alumni appear in a photograph in a January 26 article from Atlas Obscura. Josh Reuther (Ph.D. Arizona, 2013) and François B. Lanoë (Ph.D. Arizona, 2017) are shown taking part in ongoing research to redate an ancient, formerly frozen bison known as Blue Babe. Dr. Reuther, who is Assistant Professor of Anthropology at the University of Alaska and Curator of Archaeology with the Museum of the North, is noted as saying the new research shows the bison is at least 50,000 years old, rather than the 36,000 year age suggested by an earlier study.
