Latest COVID-19 Primers from Mark Nichter 

 

Regents’ Professor Emeritus Mark Nichter continues to update his COVID-19 primer. Version 11 of the PowerPoint presentation, which Dr. Nichter began to work on in March, is now available from these websites: 

 

ARHE, Anthropological Responses to Health Emergencies, is a Special Interest Group of the Society for Medical Anthropology. Their COVID-19 resources page also includes two new primers Dr. Nichter has co-authored: “COVID statistics and how to read them” and “COVID-19, youth, emerging adults, and school openings.” ARHE has just been selected for the American Anthropological Association's President's Award; the announcement was made on September 17.
