Recent Publications: New book on History of Arizona Archaeology

Nancy Parezo, professor emerita of American Indian Studies and 1981 Ph.D., has published a new book with her colleague Dr. Don Fowler titled A Marriage Out West: Theresa and Frank Russell's Explorations of Arizona, 1900–1903 (University of Arizona Press). SInce Parezo and Fowler tell Dr. Theresa Russell’s story often through her own words, they have made her senior author. The book is an intimate portrayal of the Russells’ busman’s honeymoon in 1900 and their lives exploring Arizona’s archaeological and Indigenous heritage. Read the abstract on the UA Press website.
