Recent Publications: Debut Novel from the Schiffers

Michael Brian Schiffer (Fred A. Riecker Distinguished Professor, emeritus) and Annette Schiffer are pleased to announce the publication of their first mystery novel, A Buzz about Campus. This book, the first in The Oak Grove Chronicles series, introduces Alan Bluestein, a sheriff's detective, and Professor Laura Mancini, a forensic archaeologist. The pair collaborate to solve the baffling murder of the university's provost who died in his office. The book is a heartwarming blend of serious and silly that readers will enjoy, especially if they are tired of gratuitous gore and demented serial killers. The plot takes interesting twists and turns that will keep readers turning the pages and guessing who at the UA inspired some of the characters.
