New Publications on Slang and Ethnographic Discourse Analysis by Jen Roth-Gordon

Associate Professor Jen Roth-Gordon has contributed an entry to the The International Encyclopedia of Linguistic Anthropology titled “Linguistic Creativity: Slang.” She also happily reports that her chapter “Situating Discourse in Ethnographic and Sociopolitical Context” finally came out in The Cambridge Handbook of Discourse Studies. This chapter is a summary of the methods training that she offers in the grad seminar “Ethnographic Discourse Analysis” and that has been offered in workshops at the AAA and SLA annual conferences. (Anthro News Digest date: 01/29/2021)
