New Publications on Slang and Ethnographic Discourse Analysis by Jen Roth-Gordon

Associate Professor Jen Roth-Gordon has contributed an entry to the The International Encyclopedia of Linguistic Anthropology titled “Linguistic Creativity: Slang.” She also happily reports that her chapter “Situating Discourse in Ethnographic and Sociopolitical Context” finally came out in The Cambridge Handbook of Discourse Studies. This chapter is a summary of the methods training that she offers in the grad seminar “Ethnographic Discourse Analysis” and that has been offered in workshops at the AAA and SLA annual conferences.
