Earlier this week, the Arizona State Museum announced that the William A. Longacre papers have now been organized and described; you can now access a summary and itemized listing via Arizona Archives Online.
Dr. Longacre (1937–2015) became a member of the University of Arizona’s anthropology faculty in 1964, served as the fifth Head of Department of Anthropology, and, in 1998, became a Fred A. Riecker Distinguished Professor. The Longacre collection features his ethnoarchaeological research focused on ceramics among the Kalinga, an Indigenous group in the northern Philippines.
