Hanson to Speak at Pigments Revealed Symposium
Kelsey Hanson (current SoA Ph.D. candidate) is an invited speaker at an upcoming international cross-disciplinary symposium on natural pigments scheduled for June 16-19, 2021. She will deliver a talk titled “The ‘Colorful’ Rise and Fall of the Chaco World (A.D. 850–1300)” on her dissertation research and will also participate in a panel discussion titled “Restoring the Future: Pigments in Cultural Heritage.” Registration for the event is $325, but sliding scale and low and no-cost scholarships are available. 15% of registration proceeds will be donated to the Traditional Indigenous Arts Mentorship Program by the Urban Native Education Alliance.
