Benedict Awarded Carson Scholarship

Second year Ph.D. student Skylar Benedict has been awarded the Carson Scholarship from the University of Arizona for the 2022–2023 academic year. The Carson Scholarship is awarded to graduate researchers committed to interdisciplinary research on intersecting social and environmental issues to hone their science communication abilities. As part of the Carson Scholar community, Skylar will work on developing skills to communicate his research on community mangrove conservation to a wide range of publics.
