Malavika Jinka Receives GPSC ReaP Grant

Malavika Jinka, a first-year doctoral student in sociocultural anthropology, has received the Research and Project grant from the Graduate and Professional Student Council. This summer, in her project, “Impact of Conservation-induced Displacement on Women-centric Rituals and Identities: A Preliminary Research,” Malavika will explore how conservation-induced displacement of tribal groups in southern India has impacted their women-centric rituals and identities. (Anthro News Digest date: 03/12/2021)
