About Maureen Hoffmann
Ph.D. candidate in Anthropology-Linguistics (ANLI): I am interested in minority languages, endangered languages, language revitalization, Southeast Asia (especially Thailand and Burma), language and identity, language documentation, phonetics, and linguistic anthropology. I received my A.B. from Bryn Mawr College in Anthropology and Linguistics. Following that, I taught English in a small town in Japan before starting my graduate work at the University of Arizona. Non-academically, I love to dance, especially swing dance and various folk dances.
