About Kianna Dieudonne

I am a sociocultural anthropology PhD student studying at the intersection of inter-species relationality, critical food and race studies, and solidarity formation between climate science, Black, and Indigenous scholarship. I received my BA from Rollins College in Environmental Science and Anthropology. Before switching my focus to anthropology, I spent time working as a research ecologist throughout parts of Washington state. My current MA research focuses on how Black women refuse participation in the anti-Black, anti-Indigenous, and environmentally destructive US food system by growing their own food and forming online communities to share knowledge and experiences.
