Scholar's Award (2018) All throughout my undergraduate career at the University of Arizona I had the pleasure of meeting and working with some of the most amazing people. The people in the School of Anthropology taught me not only everything I know about my field, but also taught me how to be a better person. The friends I made, and the faculty who taught me, helped me grow into who I am as a person today, ready to explore the world and help others along the way. In short, the School of Anthropology became my home, and its people my family. I am so grateful that I was nominated, and chosen, to receive the Scholars Award. This alone has shown me that my many late nights, and never-ending research pursuits, were not only for myself but also to better the Anthropology community at large. My primary research focus is in the Bioarchaeology of the Southwest, specifically on trauma among Early Agricultural Period farmers. I also have academic interests in Egyptology and Paleopathology. My plan for the future revolves around gaining practical archaeological experience in the Southwest, and then completing a PhD. in Biological Anthropology with a focus in Bioarchaeology and Forensic Anthropology. I definitely could not have gotten to where I am today, so empowered and ready to tackle my future, without the School of Anthropology and all of its amazing people.
