SoA Alumna Receives Small Grant for Academic Collaboration in the Americas

Anna Ochoa O’Leary (Ph.D. Arizona, 1999) has been awarded one of 12 Small Grants for Academic Collaboration in the Americas for 2012. Ochoa is Assistant Professor of Practice in Mexican American Studies as well as Co-director of the Binational Migration Institute. The grant program is a collaboration between the UA’s Office of Western Hemispheric Programs, the Center for Latin American Studies, and the Office of the Vice President for Regional Development. Ochoa’s grant will help bring scholars from the Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa to the UA. This UANews article tells the story.
