Gordon Bronitsky Accompanies Chinle Valley Singers to Oman

The Chinle Valley Singers are a Navajo family group who believe strongly in preserving tradition through sharing their rich Navajo tradition in story-telling and in songs and dances, which they have adapted from ceremonial contexts for use in Navajo social and entertainment contexts (http://bronitskyandassociates.com/chinle.htm). They toured to Oman July 8–13, 2012, to perform at the Salalah Festival in Oman under the auspices of the United States Embassy in Muscat. The Salalah Festival is a large cultural festival in southern Oman that attracts thousands of visitors each year.

Gordon Bronitsky (Ph.D. Arizona, 1977) serves as the group’s agent/manager and has previously toured with the Chinle Valley Singers to Estonia, Latvia, the Philippines, the Netherlands, England, Italy, and Dubai.
