Alumna Elizabeth Krause Is Full Professor; Receives NSF and Wenner-Gren Funding

Elizabeth L. Krause (Ph.D. Arizona, 1999) was promoted to full professor at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in May 2012. In June, she was awarded a senior research grant from the National Science Foundation for her project “Chinese Immigration and Family Encounters in Italy.” In July, with co-applicant Massimo Bressan of the Prato, Italy, research institute IRIS, she was awarded an International Collaborative Research Grant from the Wenner-Gren Foundation for Anthropological Research for a related project, “Tight Knit: Familistic Encounters in a Fast-Fashion District.” See Elizabeth’s faculty profile for more information.
