I am a native of Arizona and would stay in Tucson forever if I could.  I'm currently a dual PhD candidate in Anthro and MENAS at the UA, with a focus on contemporary Turkey.  I have a BA in Religious Studies from NAU, an MA in Dance from UCLA, and an MA in Near Eastern Studies from the UA... my interests are interdisciplinary.  My current research analyzes the impact of political economic processes on the social life of Turkey’s Roma (Gypsies).  I just returned from the field and look forward to the write-up process.
