Field Schools: Course Credits & Fees

The Spring Archaeological Field School continues a long U of A tradition of field training at the advanced undergraduate and graduate levels. Students earn 6 hours of undergraduate or graduate field methods credit (Anthropology 442a,b; 642a,b: Archaeological Field School).

They may also enroll for up to 6 additional hours (Anthropology 495, 595: Topics in Archaeology) for specialized laboratory and analysis projects tailored to specific student interests.

The basic six hours of undergraduate or graduate field school credit have an enrollment cost of $2475.00 for Arizona residents and $4550.00 for nonresidents, including field school fees and university tuition and fees.

Three additional field school credits for individual projects are optional. Excavations on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays allow participants to register for other classes that meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays if a full semester of transferable course credit is desired.

Tuition at the University of Arizona is among the lowest for U.S. universities.
