Ph.D. Program
While I am most comfortable on the east coast, and specifically in the southeast, Arizona has grown on me. After 6 weeks at a sexual abuse/family violence NGO in northern South Africa in 2002, I have be trying to find a way back. I took a break between my MA and PhD to work for 2 years at a sexual assault crisis center in rural Virginia. As the education coordinator there, I spent a lot of time with teenagers. I am interested in exploring how healthy sexual education could be used to address attitudes that condone sexual violence and the perpetration sexual violence.
I am concurrently enrolled in the Anthro PhD program (minor: med anth) and the MPH program in the College of Public Health. Feel free to contact me if you have questions about the med anth program or doing the MPH along with the PhD.
