In Memoriam: William Rathje
SoA Professor Emeritus William L. Rathje, 66, died of natural causes at his Tucson home on May 24. Dr. Rathje pioneered the study of modern refuse as a scientific discipline through his Garbage Project, begun in 1973. Jeff Harrison has written an excellent tribute for UANews, which you can read here.
