Michael Bustamante, a member of the Blackfeet Tribe and stellar student at the Kutoyis Archaeological Project (KAP) Tribal Field School, was selected among dozens of applicants to attend Montana State University’s “Dinosaur Eggs and Education: A Student Research Experience in China.”

Michael participated in two seasons of para-archaeology training under the supervision of KAP directors Nieves Zedeño (Professor of Anthropology and Associate Research Anthropologist, BARA) and Jesse Ballenger (Ph.D. Arizona, 2010). The tribal field school is a service the KAP provides to the Blackfeet Tribal Historic Preservation Office and the Bureau of Indian Affairs. You can learn more about the dinosaur egg experience here.
