David Raichlen, Exercise, and the Human Brain

In the recent article “Linking brains and brawn: exercise and the evolution of human neurobiology,” Associate Professor David Raichlen and co-author John David Polk explore the influence of physical exertion on the development of the human brain. The publication has sparked national interest, ranging from a December 26th New York Times blog piece to an interview on Minnesota Public Radio’s The Daily Circuit for a segment that aired January 9th, which you can listen to here. In addition, a recent UANews spot draws attention to a January 1st Weather Channel article featuring his research.
You can read the abstract of Dr. Raichlen’s Proceedings of the Royal Society B article here.
